DIIDA CELEBRATES 1ST RUNAWAY AT VAMFF HIGH TEA '17

What an event! DIIDA was thrilled to make its runway debut at Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF), High Tea Runway, Malvern Town Hall.
This was by far the highlight of our season - DIIDA introduced the new Autumn 2017 Collections including: The Queen of the Jungle; Key to The City (White); and Sarah G. Chambray. All designs proudly created by Creative Director, Dimitria Papafotiou and made locally in Melbourne. The pushes the boundaries and expands the selection of DIIDA's statement ready-to-wear pieces.

The day played out as any fashionista would expect - the stunning location and entrance of Malvern Town Hall, gorgeous table arrangements, and snacks to fit the theme of High Tea - delicious macaroons, mini sandwiches, fluffy pastries and an abundance of other scrumptious treats!
DIIDA had the honour of being the final brand to showcase. The procession began with the Sarah G Chambray Maxi Shirt Dress - a stunning display of street style meets luxe-glam. DIIDA’s signature gold hardware designs were prominent throughout the runway - beautiful silks, luscious khaki tones and bold leopard prints - each unsurprisingly holding the audience’s attention.
DIIDA's runway debut finished with the show-stopper leopard semi-sheer wrap dress. The range perfectly represented the essence of DIIDA - the detail in designs, inspiration and personality - giving the audience a fitting introduction to newcomer DIIDA the label.

It was an extremely proud day for the DIIDA team. Creative Director Dimitria (aka DIIDA) was filled with emotion due to the realisation that within less than a year since opening her Flagship Boutique, DIIDA was making its debut at one of the biggest fashion events in Australia - VAMFF. In this moment, she realised that her dreams and aspirations were finally a reality - she is DIIDA, and this is her world.
