DIIDA OPENS ITS DOORS!
2016 LAUNCH PARTY
In June 2016, DIIDA opened its flagship retail boutique amidst the bustling streets of South Yarra, Melbourne. DIIDA hosted its opening night inspired by the Grecian heritage of Founder and Creative Director, Dimitria Papafotiou.
The night was celebrated with a ravishing menu of food and drinks designed by celebrity Chef George Calombaris! Devine Baklava Martinis and delicious modern Greek-inspired canapés were only some of the delights provided at the event.
Alongside the famous Chef, was a number of Australian celebrities which included, Carrie Bickmore and actress Olympia Valance, wearing DIIDA Designs Mykonos Blouse and Athenian Pant on the night.
DIIDA’s Grecian background carries through to its store, designed by Black Milk, with accents of Greek meandros motifs and a demanding feature ceiling made of delicate gold tiles as well as matte gold metal floating rails throughout the store.
The event housed DIIDA’s debut Spring 2016 collections Key to the City, Siren and Mediterranean Holiday, featuring seductive silhouettes paired with black mesh detailing, blurred floral prints gliding along weightless silks, and bold snake print signature designs.
DIIDA was ecstatic with the turnout of its debut event. Everyone had an amazing time and the night went without drama; except for the traditional Greek toasting and smashing glasses of Ouzo of course!
